Really this Island is a dream come true for dog owners who are typically forced to stand in the ugliest of "dog parks" in order to let their dogs rome free.
I took my daughter out on a kayak tonight for the first time, it was the two of us in a one person kayak. Some parts were magical, like her laying back on me staring up at the clouds, others a little sad, like when we were still far from the doc and she had had enough. I hope to remember more than the sad parts.
I still have to get to the store to buy more canvas, until then cardboard is my cool pro-earth canvas of choice. This is an orange. I love how they smell, I hate to peel them, I like to eat them when they taste good.
When my daughter paints, the word you will most often hear is "more", pronounced "mow?". She is referring to the paint. How much is enough paint? Mow! We did this one together. I opened an Ebay store/gallery today, you can check it out at: http://stores.ebay.com/kimedgepaintings
The fun of painting at midnight is that you can do the next days painting as the clock strikes 12:01 while you are all warmed up. This was fun to paint, it felt creative.
Note to self: Buy Pears. I tried to make these pears look more "real". But I may like my pears that look for illustrative better. Reality is stressful.
My best surf buddy fulfilled a dream of ours and surfed Costa Rica last week. YEAH KD! This painting was based on a shot of her killin' it on an over head wave in Costa Rica.
Man oh man, I did not want to paint tonight. I'm glad I had to though, because I really like this painting. I painted this green pear on a canvas that my daughter had been playing on, adding all sorts of blobs of color. You know the painting would not be worth seeing if it weren't for the pretty colors showing through. What a fun collaboration.
I hated the colors on this painting, but I liked the painting, so I changed the colors. Using only my imagination, folks, don't try this at home. :) The colors look better in person.
